Mary Ruth's Corset

E-12. Paper pieced into 8 units, then the units handpieced. 28 pieces.

In the picture you can also see my collection of onion peel.
Every time I peel  onion, I save the peel in a big jar to be used later
to dye yarn.  I've not yet tried it on fabric.
I better stick with Procion MX.

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy stitching.

Gloriae

G-12. Hand appliqué. 18 pieces

It worked best for me to hand appliqué the stars on middle piece,
add the border then snowball the corners. Very easy.

Happy stitching.

Quilt Jail and Woven Meadow

E-9. Paperpieced. 35 pieces

G-10. Paperpieced. 39 pieces

Two blocks this week. Two easy blocks I should say,
didn't have to rip anything.
I do like the fabric for G-10.
I really should go down to the cellar and make some more
 multicoloured fabrics.

Until next time

Moth in a Web

E-13 Paper pieced and appliqué, 22 pieces.
When I thought the block was done, it came to my attention
there were no small triangles on the big triangles.
I forgot to appliqué them on
before it was sewn on the middle piece.
I had to rip off and do it again.

Some days are more difficult than others.

Happy stitching

Crystal Star

Crystal Star - D-4 was paperpieced, handpieced and appliqué.

It seems to work best for me to paperpiece into units and then handpiece the units together.

But this morning it was a bit coolish.
