Crystal Star

Crystal Star - D-4 was paperpieced, handpieced and appliqué.
17 pieces.
It seems to work best for me to paperpiece into units and then handpiece the units together.
It has really been very hot here in Lux for the past weeks,
But this morning it was a bit coolish.

Happy stitching

That block is beautiful - such perfect little applique pieces too!
It reminds me of a warm sunny day.
Perhaps the heat has influenced this block? lol

Lovely work, Paula. I enjoyed Doreen's comment about the heat as I was thinking the same.
Happy Quilting,
Heather

I have been avoiding this block (in fact I have been avoiding the rest of the blocks in Row D) but now that I have had a good look at your lovely block, I can see that it won't be as hard as I thought. The colours of this block remind me of autumn leaves.
