Mary Ruth's Corset

E-12. Paper pieced into 8 units, then the units handpieced. 28 pieces.

In the picture you can also see my collection of onion peel.
Every time I peel  onion, I save the peel in a big jar to be used later
to dye yarn.  I've not yet tried it on fabric.
I better stick with Procion MX.

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy stitching.

Your block is beautiful!
Those onion peels look so pretty - I'll bet your yarns look gorgeous dyed with these.

I thought the onion peels were some type of dried flower at first. I've just done that block as well, it was quite nice to make.

Fantastic block, Paula. The onion peels are surprisingly beautiful dried. How interesting to use them to dye.
